Extreme Tornado Tours 2025

Orientation Day – Sunday, June 8, 2025

• Storms were headed to the OKC metro area, and we got to chase this evening! This marks the first time I’ve ever chased on orientation day with ETT! Normally, we don’t chase on orientation day since that is where we do introductions and go over safety and expectations.
• We were positioned south of El Reno to capture this storm.
• Dinner: BJ’s Brewhouse.
• Tomorrow, we are set to head north. The start of our tour will likely be quiet, but that may change toward the latter part of it.

Day 1- Monday, June 9, 2025: Travel Day

• Today was a travel day. We are trying to position ourselves for the upcoming storms in the Montana area, which would be another state added to my list of states that I have visited.
• Lunch: Spangles in Wichita, Kansas.
• Dinner: Coppermill Steakhouse & Mill.
• Lodging: Hospitality Inn in North Platte, Nebraska.

Day 2 – Tuesday, June 10, 2025: Travel Day

• One thing about storm chasing is that we plan to go one direction, but we may end up going in another, therefore we did not end up in Montana.
• Lunch: Runzel in Ogallala, Nebraska.
• Dinner: Sickie’s Garage Burgers & Brews in Rapid City, South Dakota.
• We had a small shower on our way to Deadwood, South Dakota. Captured a rainbow. Other than that, we did not chase. We did get to explore Deadwood, which was fun.
• Lodging: Deadwood Gulch Resort in Deadwood, South Dakota.

Day 3 – Wednesday, June 11, 2025: Travel/Chase Day

• Lunch: Subway in Kadoka, South Dakota.
• We ended up doing a little chasing south of Ainsworth, Nebraska. We were monitoring updrafts at a gas station to see which one would be more favorable of producing a storm. We found one and followed it! See pics below!
• Dinner: McDonald’s in Chamberlain, South Dakota.
• Lodging: Super8 in Chamberlain, South Dakota.

Day 4 – Thursday, June 12, 2025: Chase Day

• Lunch: Circle E Drive-In in Murdo, South Dakota. I got a massive double cheeseburger!
• We were able to chase a storm in the Bridgeport/Broadwater area in Nebraska. I was able to capture some amazing lightning shots.
• In some of the pictures, you will see a rock structure called Courthouse & Jail Rock.
• Dinner: Sam & Louie’s Italian Restaurant & New York Pizzeria in Alliance, Nebraska.
• Lodging: Alliance hotel & Suites in Alliance, Nebraska.

Day 5 – Friday, June 13, 2025: Chase & Sight Seeing Day

• We are chasing in Wyoming!
• Lunch: Frida’s House Mexican restaurant in Newcastle, Wyoming.
• Today, we got to go visit and hike Devils Tower in Wyoming. After that beautiful hike some storms started to develop and was able to capture some amazing shots with the mountain in the back. There was a small storm during sunset as well, which we were able to capture.
• Dinner: Wendy’s in Gillette, Wyoming.
• Lodging: Iron Creek Inn & Suites in Upton, Wyoming.

Day 6 – Saturday, June 14, 2025: Chase Day

• Lunch: Subway in Torrington, Wyoming.
• On our second to last day, we got the best storm of the entire tour! We ended up chasing in northeast Colorado! This storm formed out of nowhere and we were excited to see it!
• We got to see an amazing storm, dustnado, as well as a sunset!
• Dinner: Taco Bell in Sterling, Colorado.
• Lodging: Hospitality Inn in North Platte, Nebraska.

Day 7 – Sunday, June 15, 2025: Last Day

• Lunch: Culver’s in Kearney, Nebraska.
• Dinner: Pub W in Edmond, Oklahoma.
• Unfortunately, this day marks the end of the tour!

Another amazing is over! I had an amazing time with some amazing people! We were concerned about not seeing any severe weather, but thankfully we did see a nice potent storm towards the end of the tour. Thank you Trey, Micah, Drew, and Justin for another fantastic trip! I look forward to doing it again.
